About PAEC
The Public Advocacy & Engagement Committee (PAEC) was founded on December 6, 2017, and seeks to increase the political influence of Calista Corporation through expanded advocacy, public and Shareholder education, voter mobilization, and political support for the people of the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region.
Current members: Willie Kasayulie (Chair), Margaret Pohjola, Ron Hoffman, Roberta Murphy, Fred Phillip, Andrew Guy and Thom Leonard.

Regional Priorities
The PAEC regional priorities for state and federal candidates include:
- Restoring salmon runs in the Yukon and Kuskokwim rivers, and ending the closures of Y-K subsistence and commercial fisheries for king and chum salmon
- Bringing basic infrastructure to the Yukon-Kuskokwim Region including vital housing, broadband, energy, transportation, and water and sewer
- Support for ice road construction and maintenance
- Support for a full, statutory Permanent Fund Dividend
- Support for housing and funding for law enforcement officials in rural areas
- Support for the Yukon-Kuskokwim Regional Tribal Government
- Support for sustainable resource development in the region
